Always… Patsy Cline

When given the opportunity to direct Always… Patsy Cline I strove to focus on the beauty of a female friendship. On paper a country super star and a Texan divorcée make for an unlikely friendship, and yet fate would have it that they met and became dear friends one night in Houston. This musical is based off real events, so I tried to remain true to the real Patsy Cline and Lousie Segar, steering clear of caricatures by focusing on the bond and history that these two women had. What came from that was a beautiful story accompanied by the music of an artist gone too soon.
